Full job description

Galileo is a fast-growing renewable energy IPP, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over 16 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind and storage projects across 10 markets in Europe.

We are looking for a Business Development Analyst / Associate to support the coordination and delivery of various workstreams related to the development of Wind, Solar and Battery projects in Italy. You’ll be based in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working), reporting to the Business Development Manager.

What you’ll do

[Responsibilities and autonomy will vary depending on the experience]:

  • Advance project development – Lead and support the permitting process of Galileo’s PV and BESS pipeline from early-stage to Ready-to-Build, and potentially through pre-construction.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders – Engage with public administrations, landowners, consultants, and Transmission/Distribution System Operators (TSO/DSO).
  • Perform technical and feasibility assessments – Review project layouts and design documentation, conduct site visits, and assess technical, environmental, and grid-connection aspects.
  • Manage third-party suppliers – Supervise and coordinate consultants, engineers, and permitting partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor regulatory developments – Stay abreast of changes in Italian renewable energy legislation, permitting frameworks, and grid regulations.
  • Continuously grow your expertise – Maintain and expand your technical and professional skillset in line with Galileo’s evolving business focus and needs.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Law, Natural Science or a related discipline;
  • At least 1-2 years of experience (Analyst) or 3-4 years (Associate) in development of utility-scale renewable energy projects within IPPs or developers active in the Italian market;
  • Solid understanding of the Italian administrative and permitting processes for renewable projects, and ability to keep up to date with evolving regulations;
  • Familiarity with CAD-based design tools for PV and BESS projects is an advantage;
  • Native Italian speaker (or equivalent) and with good knowledge of English;
  • Project management and goal-oriented mindset, effectiveness and tenacity to achieve targets;
  • Clear, logical and helpful communication style, with an ability to dig into the detail as well as step-back and communicate the bigger picture pragmatically and succinctly.

Benefits

What we offer:

  • Competitive compensation: 45,000 – 55,000 € (Analyst) or 55,000 – 65,000 € (Associate) gross annual total compensation package, composed of fixed gross annual salary (RAL) and annual performance bonus, based on experience, skills and role responsibilities.
  • Collective agreement: Primo livello CCNL Commercio.
  • Comprehensive healthcare screening and healthcare insurance.
  • Flexibility: a hybrid remote-working policy designed for autonomy and outcomes — plus a strong Diversity & Inclusion focus to support different needs and life situations.
  • Growth: continuous learning & development opportunities and a supportive environment that fosters initiative and ownership.
  • Front-row seat to the energy transition: you’ll be at the forefront of Galileo's developments, with the chance to influence decisions and outcomes.
  • International environment: you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Europe and thrive in an informal culture that values collaboration, ownership, and innovation.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion: Galileo is a new and flexible employer, committed to providing equal opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and fairness for all.
