Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing architectural millwork projects from project award through final completion. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, architects, vendors, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contract documents and quality standards.
The Project Manager oversees project schedules, submittals, procurement, change orders, budgets, and field coordination while proactively identifying and resolving issues to achieve successful project outcomes. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage multiple architectural millwork projects simultaneously from kickoff through closeout.
· Review contracts, specifications, shop drawings, and project requirements.
· Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and Installation teams.
· Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor progress.
· Serve as the primary customer contact for project communication and updates.
· Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
· Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.
· Coordinate material deliveries and installation schedules.
· Identify project risks and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Conduct project meetings and maintain accurate project records.
· Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and contract obligations.
· Support project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, final documentation, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications requirements:
· 3–5+ years of project management experience, preferably in architectural millwork, commercial construction, cabinetry, or a related industry.
· Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and contract administration.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software and ERP systems (such as ShopPak or similar) is preferred.
· Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
· Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
