Job Purpose

Identifying and approaching prospective clients, understanding their shipping and logistics requirements, and developing competitive solutions that meet their operation’s needs.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and prospect potential customers across target industries and market segments.
Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, market research, and field visits.
Develop relationships with key decision-makers within prospective and existing accounts.
Convert qualified opportunities into active customers and consistently work toward monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Understand customer requirements across air freight, sea freight, land transportation, and other logistics services, depending on the company’s service portfolio.
Prepare and present commercial proposals to prospective clients.
Regularly follow up with clients to understand upcoming shipment requirements and business opportunities.
Support the resolution of commercial or service-related issues to maintain customer satisfaction and retention.
Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, quotations, opportunities, and sales activities in the CRM or internal tracking system.
Provide regular sales pipeline, activity, and performance updates to management.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
2-4 years of B2B sales or business development experience within freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, transportation, or supply chain services.
Good understanding of the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
Experience generating leads, approaching new clients, and managing the full sales cycle.
Target-driven and comfortable working toward revenue and new business objectives.
Strong follow-up, organization, and pipeline management skills.
Proficiency in using CRM systems.
