Job DetailsJob Location: Midland, TX 79706Position Type: Full TimeThe HSEQ Specialist helps ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations by conducting field audits, supporting employee training, maintaining compliance records, and assisting with incident investigations. This position regularly supports operations in both Midland, TX and Carlsbad, NM.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct field safety audits and inspections.
Coach employees on safe work practices, JSAs, and hazard recognition.
Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
Maintain training and compliance records.
Coordinate safety meetings and training programs.
Manage safety reporting and compliance systems.
Support customer, regulatory, and company safety requirements.
Respond to incidents as needed, including after-hours situations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of HSEQ, safety, or compliance experience in oil & gas, energy, or industrial operations.
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and safety regulations.
Experience with incident investigations and corrective actions.
Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
Experience with safety management systems preferred.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between Midland and Carlsbad field locations.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in HSEQ, safety coordination, or field safety support role within industrial, energy, or oil & gas operations.
Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, and industry-specific standards).
Demonstrated experience supporting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
Proven ability to manage and maintain training and compliance records with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience working with safety and compliance management systems such as KPA, Motive, ISN, Veriforce, TPS, NCMS, or similar platforms.
Ability to generate, analyze, and communicate safety and compliance reports clearly to leadership and field personnel.
Effective communication skills with the ability to train, coach, and hold employees accountable in both field and office settings.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly and decisively in incident response situations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to manage data and reporting requirements.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet Company driving requirements.
Willingness and ability to respond to incidents and operational needs outside of normal business hours.

Work Environment

This position requires a combination of field and office work, with regular exposure to active job sites, including outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
The role requires frequent travel to field locations to conduct audits, inspections, and support operations.
Exposure to typical oil and gas field hazards, including noise, moving equipment, uneven terrain, and environmental conditions, is expected; appropriate PPE must be worn at all times.
This position is on-call and requires immediate responsiveness to incidents at any time (24/7), including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities under time-sensitive conditions, particularly during incident response and reporting.
Physical requirements may include standing, walking, climbing, lifting, and working in and around operational equipment for extended periods.
This position requires consistent interaction with field personnel, management, and customers.
