Manage and optimize the end-to-end order fulfillment process from receipt to delivery for agency orders. Lead and develop the fulfillment team while ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and operational efficiency.
Requires 5+ years of experience in order fulfillment or logistics, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. A degree in Business Management or Social Services is preferred, along with a valid California driver's license.

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Order Fulfillment Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the entire order fulfillment process from order receipt to delivery. This role ensures that agency orders are processed efficiently, accurately, and delivered on time while maintaining high standards of quality and service. This role involves managing the Order Fulfillment team, optimizing processes, following all personal safety/food safety regulations and coordinating with various departments to achieve Feeding San Diego’s mission.
INTERACTION
The position will interact closely with all Operations staff, and provide information to donors, potential donors, individuals in need, volunteers, agency representatives, and others from the community.
Preferred* A.A. or B.A. degree from an accredited college with a concentration of course work in Business Management, Social Services, Receiving & Distribution Services or comparable course of study,
5+ years of experience in order fulfillment, warehouse management, logistics, experience in food distribution programs or a similar role; 2+ years in a leadership or managerial position.
Stand-up Forklift, pallet jack, dolly, scissor lift, computer, adding machine (10key), multi-line phone, copier, printer
Must have reliable transportation and possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Agency’s insurance carrier standards.
Must be able to obtain and keep a forklift and electric pallet jack certification. Training will be provided.

Last year, the hunger-relief organization provided more than 31 million meals to children, families, seniors, college students, military families, and veterans in partnership with a network of more than 350 local charities, schools, colleges, faith communities, healthcare providers, and meal sites. It operates a multitude of hunger-relief and food programs countywide that support people facing hunger with food assistance or resources. Last year, 90% percent of the food distributed by Feeding San Diego was rescued, allowing high-quality food to be redirected instead of going to waste. By diverting more than 32.6 million pounds of food from the landfill each year and using it to feed people facing hunger, Feeding San Diego helps avert 28,986 metric tons of CO2 from being emitted, protecting people and the planet. Every $1 donated helps provide two meals to people facing hunger.
