The Welder is responsible for setting up and running welding and cutting processes to build high-quality industrial packaging machinery. This includes fabricating machine frames and piece parts while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience and the ability to read blueprints. A one-year welding program is preferred but not required.

Serpa Packaging Solutions is looking for a Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a manual mill machine to ensure accurate and timely machining of parts based on blueprint specifications.There's no monopoly on innovative ideas or limits to how far you can advance with our team. Requirements
· Set up and operate manual vertical mill machinery properly and efficiently. · Load parts, proving tapes, cycle machines, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to production requirements.
· Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
· Measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
· Select proper tools and ensure efficient machining production to meet production schedule needs.
· Collaborate and receive instruction from experienced machinists, CNC programmer(s), and supervisors.
· Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment.
· Recommend and/or make mechanical adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements. Follow and consistently maintain a safe and clean working environment.
· Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work.
· Adhere to company quality and rework standards and expectations.
· Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality.
· Understand and meet company quality standards and objectives to fulfill customers’ requirements.
· Flexibility to assist operators and machinists in other areas, as well as learn and operate other equipment.
· Carry out other duties reasonable within capability as requested by Supervisor and/or Manager.
Desired Requirements:
· Minimum of 3–5 year experience in a Machining environment.
· Associate’s degree/Certification in related field preferred.
· Experience with operation of mill machinery.
· Understanding and ability to machine at a tolerance of +/- .002
·Strong attention to detail to ensure precision of parts machined.
·Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
·Reliable to keep up with production demand.
· Ability to work well independently and with fellow coworkers.
·Ability to perform job duties that may require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, and working in cramped spaces.
·Ability to lift light and heavy weight supplies and materials up to 40 pounds.
Base Salary Range: $20.00 – $28.00
