Position Overview
As the Partner Business Development Manager based in Paris, you will be responsible for driving the expansion and operational management of the cloud channel partner ecosystem across France and the broader region. You will identify and recruit high-potential partners, co-develop business plans, empower local channels through technical and commercial enablement, oversee partner operations, and manage ecosystem compliance and risks. This role requires extensive experience in cloud channel distribution, strong architectural acumen, and a proven track record of building channel systems from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
1. Partner Planning and Recruitment
Identify target partner segments and clusters in the region; recruit high-value, high-growth, and high-potential partners.
Co-build tailored Business Plans (BPs) and regional expansion strategies.
2. Partner Growth and Empowerment
Support the development, animation, and nurturing of localised partner networks to ensure comprehensive regional coverage and efficient client acquisition.
Provide systematised empowerment to partners based on their business orientation, including commercial policy guidance, product and solution expertise, and official team capability certifications.
Enhance partner sales and service capabilities, drive their business transformation, and achieve mutual business growth.
3. Partner Operations and Incentives
Identify and allocate business opportunities, fostering client cultivation and business expansion through partners with rigorous process tracking and resource support.
Drive partner operational processes and effectively resolve potential channel conflicts.
Participate in the formulation, feedback, and optimization of incentive policies to safeguard partner rights and interests.
Monitor partner satisfaction, promptly address legitimate partner requests, and make swift decisions.
4. Risk Management in Partner Collaboration
Implement effective ecosystem quality control, compliance frameworks, and credit management in accordance with partnership policies to prevent misconduct and ensure business security.
Requirements
Industry Experience: 10+ years of experience in channel distribution and partner network development within the cloud computing industry.
Track Record: Tangible proof of success in recruiting, collaborating with, and retaining top-tier channel partners, including building channel management systems/programs from scratch (ex-nihilo).
Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of mainstream architectural design approaches, with the capability to advise and address partner and client inquiries regarding technical architectures.
Strategic Insight: Strategic vision to structure the partner network, pre-emptively position across upstream and downstream segments of the industry value chain, optimize partner portfolio composition, and establish strategic alliances.
Channel Strategy & Execution: Expertise in developing and executing partner recruitment and collaboration strategies, identifying competitive approaches in key segments, empowering partners, and motivating them to achieve breakthrough growth.
Commercial Innovation: Ability to innovate partnership models and design sustainable commercial mechanisms based on a deep understanding of underlying economic principles to ensure mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
