The intern will support the media relations team by managing relationships with journalists and content creators, as well as coordinating press activities and events. Responsibilities also include drafting press releases, managing media inquiries, and contributing to the organization's social media presence.
Candidates should hold a degree in music, journalism, communication, or a related field and possess strong knowledge of the classical music scene. Proficiency in German and English is required, along with excellent writing skills and a collaborative, reliable work ethic.

Das Volontariat ist vergütet und auf 18 Monate befristet.
Seit Januar 2017 ist die Elbphilharmonie eröffnet, ein Konzerthaus von Weltrang und Hamburgs neues Wahrzeichen. Höchste Qualität, Vielfalt und Zugänglichkeit des musikalischen Erlebens sowie das Bewusstsein und die Offenheit für die Diversität der Gesellschaft prägen das Programm des Hauses. Verantwortet wird es zu etwa je einem Drittel von den Hamburger Orchestern, privaten Veranstaltern und der HamburgMusik gGmbH, die auch den allgemeinen Kommunikationsauftritt der Elbphilharmonie und der Laeiszhalle, Hamburgs historischem Konzerthaus, verantwortet.
Dein Arbeitsort befindet sich im 10. Stock der Elbphilharmonie. Die Arbeitsplätze sind leider nicht durchgehend rollstuhlgerecht und daher für Menschen mit Mobilitätseinschränkungen nur eingeschränkt erreichbar. Gerne informieren wir dich über die vorhandenen Barrieren.

As a flagship of outstanding music, the Elbphilharmonie stands in Hamburg’s harbor. The architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron designed the spectacular glass structure on top of a former brick warehouse building. At the heart of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg is the concert area, consisting of the Grand Hall for around 2,100 listeners and the Recital Hall for up to 550 listeners. The program mainly features orchestral concerts, chamber music, and solo recitals. However, jazz, world music, pop, and performances by singer-songwriters can also be experienced at the Elbphilharmonie. In addition to the two concert halls, the spectacular building also houses a large music education area, restaurants, a hotel, private apartments, and the publicly accessible Plaza, which offers visitors a unique panoramic view over the entire city. Artistic quality, diversity, and accessibility shape the musical program of Hamburg’s landmark. 🎶
