The role is responsible for recruiting and enrolling prospective students by providing counseling and information about university programs and financial aid. The counselor manages an assigned territory, executes recruitment events, and utilizes CRM data to meet enrollment goals.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license for travel. Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are essential.
Responsible for recruitment/enrollment initiatives in an assigned territory. Specifically, informs, advises, and counsels prospective students, secondary schools, community colleges, and other organizations about Elmhurst University. The admission counselor will generate and convert prospects through the enrollment funnel by providing counseling through the recruitment cycle. Seeks opportunities for expanded recruitment contacts, participates in various recruiting events, and positively contributes to the attainment of new student enrollment goals.
Position Status: Exempt
Salary Range: $42,000-$46,000. This is the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary offered will depend on a candidate's experience and education, and departmental budget.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position are primarily performed in an indoor setting with limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work is often sedentary in nature and requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods. Required abilities include speaking and hearing for in-person and virtual communication, using close and distance vision when reading documents or viewing screens, and performing tasks with repetitive fine motor skills. Work may require occasional lifting, bending, carrying, or otherwise moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Qualified applicants who can perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations will be considered.
Includes some evenings and weekends, as assigned.
