Full job description

Manager of Parent Engagement

Who You Are

The Manager of Parent Engagement leads The Episcopal Academy's (EA) efforts to build a welcoming, connected, informed, and loyal parent community. The Manager partners with EA's Parents' Association (EAPA) to foster a feeling of goodwill and camaraderie; designs and delivers memorable parent experiences and valuable educational and community-building programs; ensures effective parent communications; and assists school leaders in building strong partnerships with parents.

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and logistical support to EAPA leaders and parent volunteers.
  • Design and oversee various educational programs and community events for parents.
  • Work with school leaders to ensure parent meetings and events are thoughtfully scheduled, well promoted, and easily accessible.
  • Support new-family onboarding and orientation in partnership with admissions and school leaders.
  • Help to produce weekly e-newsletters, deploy direct email, and maintain web pages.
  • Gather ongoing parent feedback through surveys and focus groups.

The Manager of Parent Engagement is a full-time, 11-month, on-site position that reports to the Director of Strategy and Communications. While the typical expectation is a Monday-Friday work week, there may be occasional times when evening or weekend work is required.

About You

You're a people person to your core, the kind who remembers names, works a room without trying, and juggles a dozen moving parts without dropping one. You build relationships easily and partnerships that last, and you find real satisfaction in making other people's experiences great.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with relevant experience in community engagement, volunteer management, event or program coordination, PR/communications, or a related field.
  • Strong project manager who can run several programs and events at once with a high degree of accuracy and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable producing content for various communications channels, including newsletters, direct email, web content, social media, etc.
  • A natural steward who instinctively looks for ways to thank and celebrate others.
  • Proficiency with standard office software; experience with Google Suite a plus.
  • Experience with content management systems, digital asset management systems, and email marketing software preferred.
