About This Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Systems Engineer with an Electrical or Software/Firmware Engineering background to join our team.
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for various systems engineering efforts supporting the development of complex military electronic systems. Your Electrical or Software/Firmware Engineering expertise and technical knowledge will be crucial in ensuring the successful design, integration, and implementation of cutting-edge defense technologies. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our military customers.
Responsibilities
Perform systems engineering activities for complex electronic systems with Firmware/Software command and control capabilities, from early design phase to production, ensuring compliance with technical specifications/requirements.
Conduct system requirements analysis, definition, and allocation, translating customer needs into functional and technical requirements down to the firmware/software design.
Conduct system architecture modeling, operational and functional analysis, and requirements decomposition of the electrical system design.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams comprised of software engineers, electrical/hardware engineers, firmware engineers, system engineers, and test engineers to develop system and software/firmware architectures and design solutions that optimize performance, reliability, safety, security, and quality/mission assurance.
Work directly with product design engineers through system integration, verification, and validation to ensure compliance with functional and performance requirements.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts to execute program plans ensuring on time delivery of products/deliverables.
Support the preparation of technical documentation, including system specifications, design description documents, test plans, and test reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project and contractual requirements.
Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of related experience.
Excellent written and oral communications.
Ability to interface professionally with existing customers and possible new customers
Model Based Systems Engineering experience to develop SysML Models in Cameo/MagicDraw and the use of DOORS for requirements management is preferred
Ability to work in teams and independently with minimal direction
An existing U.S. Security Clearance is desired. The ability to obtain one is required

Level II: $92,600-$139,600
Level III: $115,800-$176,200
