Create N/C programs for 3 and 5-axis machines based on customer engineering drawings and models. Develop CAD models, tool designs, and setup instructions to support manufacturing and inspection departments.
Requires a minimum of 5 years of N/C programming experience in the aerospace industry with mandatory Catia training. Must possess strong knowledge of machine codes, cutting tools, and feed and speed.
NC Programmer
N/C Programmer job functions include creating N/C programs for various 3 & 5-axis machines in Ducommun’s machine shop. Programs are developed from customer engineering drawings/models per our internal procedures to machine various part configurations needed to support our customers. The programmer also develops CAD models and drawings to assist manufacturing personnel and creates tool designs for internally fabricated tooling.
