Do you take pride in producing a high-quality finish and enjoy seeing a job transformed from preparation through to the final coat? We're looking for a Paint Sprayer and Prepper to join our growing Paint team in Blackpool.Working as part of a skilled and supportive team, you'll play a key role in preparing, painting and finishing vehicle components to the highest standards, ensuring every product leaves the paint shop looking its best and ready for service. The role includes all aspects of surface preparation, shot blasting and paint application, with a strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail.
What you'll be doing:
Preparing vehicle components and surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, masking and cleaning
Carrying out shot blasting and surface preparation activities
Repairing dents and imperfections prior to paint application
Applying primers, base coats and top coats using automotive spray-painting equipment
Mixing paint accurately to meet colour specifications
Inspecting completed work and rectifying any paint defects where required
Maintaining paint shop equipment and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
Working to production schedules while maintaining high quality standards
Following work instructions and supporting continuous improvement across the paint department
Contributing to a safe, organised and collaborative working environment

We'll be relocating manufacture of our BETA bin lift from Warwick to Blackpool at the end of 2026, creating an exciting opportunity to join the team during this transition. To help you build the skills and knowledge needed for success, during your first three months, training will take place between our Warwick and Blackpool manufacturing locations, working alongside our experienced production team in Warwick before returning to Blackpool as the project progresses.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in a significant manufacturing expansion and help shape the future of production at our Blackpool site.
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in vehicle paint spraying, paint preparation or a similar manufacturing environment
Experience with surface preparation, masking, sanding and paint application techniques
A good understanding of quality standards and health and safety requirements
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
The ability to follow work instructions and work effectively to production targets
A flexible and positive approach, with the ability to work as part of a team
Good reliability, attendance and timekeeping
A willingness to learn and support different activities within the paint shop
