The Role

As a Relief Cartoner 4 Operator at Ganong, you will play a pivotal role in controlling the production process by operating and maintaining the Bagger machine. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will lead the production staff in daily operations, ensuring that production schedules are met while adhering to quality standards in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate for the Relief Cartoner 4 Operator role should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and good mechanical aptitude. They must be proficient in operating and maintaining machinery, completing paperwork, multi-tasking, and demonstrating good safety ethics and practices. Good communication and teamwork skills are also important for leading your team and ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a good attendance record.
• Willingness to be cross trained.
• No bending or lifting restrictions.
• Knowledge of current health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work shift work, including 8-to-12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, and call-in shifts as required.
• Computer literate with the ability to complete paperwork as assigned.
• Accountable for your work and able to multi-task.
• Demonstrate good cooperation with fellow employees and the management team.
• Can work with minimal supervision and possess good safety ethics and practices.
• Must work well under pressure and be able to problem-solve in a systematic manner.
• Demonstrate good manufacturing practices and attention to detail.
• Exceptional people skills and coaching ability
