The Mental Health Technician provides direct client support, including assistance with daily living activities and the facilitation of therapeutic group activities. They are responsible for monitoring client behavior, documenting progress, and supporting individualized treatment plans within a recovery-oriented framework.
A high school diploma or GED is required, while an associate degree in behavioral health and 1-2 years of experience are preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have experience working with individuals facing mental health or substance use challenges.

The Mental Health Technician works within a recovery-oriented framework as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing individual supportive counseling and psychoeducational groups using evidence-based therapeutic interventions. This role utilizes culturally competent and trauma-informed practices to support individuals in achieving their recovery goals. The Mental Health Technician provides direct client support, assists in implementing and monitoring treatment plans, and observes and supports the development of individual and group social skills to promote overall wellness and recovery.
