The Housekeeping Supervisor assists in leading the housekeeping team by supervising room attendants, housepersons, and laundry staff. This position ensures all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained according to company standards while providing exceptional guest service and supporting departmental efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and direct daily activities of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housepersons, and laundry attendants.
Conduct inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
Monitor room status and coordinate with the Front Desk to ensure timely room availability.
Provide coaching, training, and ongoing performance feedback to team members.
Assist with scheduling and daily staffing assignments based on occupancy levels and operational needs.
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and housekeeping procedures.
Maintain inventory of linens, amenities, cleaning supplies, and equipment; report shortages as needed.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service recovery situations.
Ensure lost and found procedures are followed and properly documented.
Monitor employee productivity and quality of work to achieve departmental goals.
Assist with onboarding and training of new housekeeping team members.
Support preventative maintenance efforts by reporting maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain a safe working environment and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Assist with special projects, deep cleaning programs, and preparation for VIP arrivals.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Act as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities as assigned.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to inspect rooms and public areas with attention to detail.
Knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning procedures, and safety practices.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds throughout the shift.
