You will perform diverse cellar responsibilities including grape receival, processing, pressing, and tank transfers. Additionally, you will manage red and white fermentation and barrel maintenance throughout the harvest season.
Candidates must have previous experience in the wine industry and proven skills as a Cellar Hand. You must also possess strong English language skills and the legal right to work in New Zealand.
The Cloudy Bay story is one of adventure. After a single sip in 1983, David Hohnen was captivated by Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. In 1985 David and winemaker Kevin Judd launched Cloudy Bay with a vision for making New Zealand wines of uncompromising quality. It’s been that way ever since.
Around early February 2027, we will begin our harvest season in Blenheim, Marlborough, and finish around mid-April 2027. We have a number of fixed-term positions available and offer an engaging season with a comprehensive induction and applied technical training in a modern winemaking environment. You will gain valuable world-standard experience and widen your network of winemaking friends!
Your hours will be a minimum of 30 hours per week, guaranteed. During the harvest period, you may work shifts up to 12 hours in length, up to 6 days per week (weekends included) with a maximum of 72 hours per week during peak.
