About the role
Reporting to the Head of Billing & Credit Control. The Billing Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end billing function across CloudClevr's telecoms and managed services portfolio. You will manage a team of six, ensuring accurate and timely billing, protecting revenue through margin assurance and supplier reconciliations, and driving continuous improvement across billing processes. This role requires previous telecoms billing experience, including usage billing (CDRs/SDRs), and advanced Excel skills.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities •
Lead, coach and develop a team of six billing professionals.
Own the monthly billing cycle and ensure invoices are accurate and delivered on time.
Manage recurring and usage billing across telecoms and managed services.
Validate and reconcile CDR/SDR usage data and supplier invoices.
Perform margin assurance and identify revenue leakage.
Oversee complex customer billing and billing exceptions.
Work with Commercial, Operations, Projects and Finance to ensure seamless onboarding and billing.
Develop and improve billing processes, controls and KPIs.
Produce management reporting and billing analysis using advanced Excel.
Support billing system enhancements including NetSuite, Halo and aBILLity where applicable.
Own supplier invoice reconciliation, resolving invoice discrepancies and maintaining accurate COGS data.
Produce supplier invoice reporting and performance scorecards to support supplier reviews and continuous improvement.
Monitor and reduce customer billing errors to minimise customer credits and improve billing accuracy.
Other Duties
Provide occasional ad-hoc support across commercial and operations functions (mobiles, sales support, provisioning, technical support).
Assist in the creation and upkeep of standard operating procedures for billing support.

Key Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in a telecoms billing, finance or revenue assurance role.
Previous experience managing a billing team, with the ability to coach, develop and motivate colleagues.
Strong knowledge of telecoms billing, including recurring billing, usage billing, CDR/SDR processing and supplier reconciliations.
Proven experience in margin assurance, identifying revenue leakage and improving billing accuracy.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query and manipulating large datasets.
Experience using billing and ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Halo, aBILLity or similar systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across Finance, Commercial, Operations and Customer Success teams.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused approach, ensuring billing queries are resolved professionally and within agreed SLAs.
A continuous improvement mindset, with experience of reviewing, documenting and improving billing processes.
A relevant finance, business or accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
