Civmec is experiencing continued growth within its Balance Machines division and is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its procurement team, based in our Perth CBD Office.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Balance Machine Procurement and Contracts Manager and will be instrumental to supporting the delivery of complex construction and manufacturing projects by managing procurement and subcontract activities from tender through to contract close‑out. Working closely with commercial, engineering and project teams, you will play a key role in ensuring Civmec's commercial and contractual interests are protected while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.

The Role
This role is responsible for the leadership and management of all procurement and subcontract functions, including but not limited to:
Lead procurement and subcontract activities from tender through to execution and close out, ensuring Civmec’s commercial and contractual interests are protected.
Prepare and manage RFT / RFQ documentation, evaluation of submissions, commercial recommendations and risk assessments.
Drive commercial negotiations and coordinate technical and legal input to achieve the best cost, risk and value outcome for the business.
Administer subcontracts post award including progress claims, variations, performance management, disputes and close out.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify, manage and communicate commercial risks and maintain accurate procurement and contract records.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commerce or Law is desirable but not essential.
Minimum of three years in procurement with a strong focus on managing procurement activities from tender through to execution and close out.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with subcontractors and internal stakeholders both written and verbal.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
