Lead and manage SMP scopes across construction projects, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Coordinate with procurement and client representatives while overseeing technical documentation and resolving non-conformances.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with ideally 5 years of experience in SMP scopes on major construction projects. Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software like AutoCAD or Navisworks is essential.

Civmec is proud to be partnering with Iluka on the delivery of the SMPE&I package for the Iluka Rare Earths Refinery, one of Australia’s most significant critical minerals projects. This landmark development will establish the country’s first fully integrated rare earths refinery and involves the delivery of large-scale structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation works within a complex processing environment.
We're seeking ambitious and experienced Senior Project Engineers who want more than just another project. Join the team delivering the Iluka Rare Earths Refinery and take ownership of major work packages on one of Australia's most significant critical minerals developments. This is an opportunity to lead complex construction scopes, influence project outcomes, and leave your mark on a landmark project that will help shape Australia's future.
This position is based at the Iluka Rare Earths Refinery in Eneabba, approximately 274 km north of Perth, Western Australia. We offer a 2:1 DIDO roster, with all transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will provide leadership across key project scopes, driving construction execution, resolving complex technical challenges, and ensuring delivery against safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives. Working closely with Manager Engineering, supervisors, and subcontractors, you will play a pivotal role in achieving critical project milestones and delivering successful project outcomes.
