We are proud to partner with renowned experts in the field. Our advisory board includes Teresa May-Benson, Sc.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, who mentors and develops OTs across our network. We collaborate closely with our staff of over 600 clinicians to ensure our practices are informed by the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy.

Career Pathways:

We offer clear career paths for OTs in clinical, administrative, and research roles. Whether you aspire to advance clinically, take on leadership responsibilities, or contribute to cutting-edge research, OTA The Koomar Center provides the support and opportunities to grow professionally.

Administrative Support:

Our dedicated administrative staff handles all scheduling, referrals, and authorizations, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care to your clients. We also ensure ethical caseload requirements for our OTs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and yearly comprehensive assessments.
  • Utilize standardized tools and clinical observations to evaluate sensory integration functioning.
  • Provide direct treatment focused on sensory integration techniques
  • Complete effective and prompt documentation for daily notes, assessments, individual treatment plans, and progress updates.
  • Participate in our mentorship network as either a mentee or mentor.
  • Provide education and training for caregivers.
  • Collaborate with other therapists (SLPs, MHPs)
  • Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to create and maintain documentation and collect and monitor data.

Our Ideal candidate Will Have the Following Qualifications:

  • AOTA certification and licensure to work in Massachusetts
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Open to work Tuesday-Saturday
  • Previous experience working with children with sensory processing disorders.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to make frequent, data-driven decisions for meaningful and personalized progress.
  • Effective and professional communication skills for education and training of caregivers
  • Advanced sensory integration training preferred

Interviews at OTA The Koomar Center:

Our interview process is designed to ensure that you feel confident about joining our team. The first step is a video chat or phone call with a member of our recruiting team, where you can learn more about the OT role and career opportunities at OTA.
