The Apprentice Route Setter supports the Head and Assistant Setters in setting, stripping, and organizing holds. They are responsible for forerunning routes, performing maintenance tasks, and assisting with competition setup.
Candidates should have at least 2 years of climbing experience and be comfortable working at heights of 40+ feet. A flexible schedule and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required.

Central Rock Gym provides the highest quality indoor climbing experience for beginner to advanced climbers. Our route setting, friendly staff and cleanliness give you the ability to train your hardest and push yourself to the limit, while the community of climbers will provide a great source of fun, and a place to engage with others. Our rock wall designs are state of the art and include the best top-roping, leading, and bouldering around. Walltopia and Rockwerx have worked in some of the best slabs, lead arches, aretes, beginner areas and steep slopes that any gym has seen, while maintaining open areas for competition viewing and relaxation between climbs. In addition to our climbing, we offer exercise equipment, a weight training area, yoga, and comfortable areas for parents to watch and relax with wireless internet. We host incredible group events and have the multifunctional spaces to provide food and refreshments.
