The Surgical Technician assists during surgical procedures and manages the sterilization, assembly, and maintenance of equipment. They are also responsible for processing specimens and preparing the operating area between procedures.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved Operation Room Surgical Technician program. A current CPR certification and proficiency in the English language are required.
The Surgical Technician provides assistance during surgical procedures, and handles equipment and supplies, such as sterilizing, assembly and maintenance. Processes specimens, and prepares area between procedures. Performs other job-related duties to maintain department standards and productivity.
Demonstrates competency in performing clinical care and assessment of patients of all ages: check which ages apply (newborn, infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics).
Assists during surgical procedures, including sterilization, assembly, and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Cares for specimens according to O.R. policy.
Performs necessary cleanup between procedures.
Performs other job-related duties as required or requested.
Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
Graduate of an approved Operation Room Surgical Technician program. Must have and maintain CPR Certification. Proficiency in the English language required.
