The Legal Counsel will provide daily legal support to the Canon UK business, focusing on commercial contracting and governance. Responsibilities include reviewing and negotiating agreements while advising the organization on various legal risks.
Candidates must be qualified lawyers with proven post-qualification experience in commercial law or in-house legal support. Experience in IT, Cloud, or technology-driven environments is required, along with strong skills in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
The Legal Counsel provides day-to-day legal support to the Canon UK business, ensuring that commercial activities are conducted in line with Canon’s legal standards, governance requirements, and applicable laws and regulations. The role works closely with Sales teams, the Commercial Group (MD Office), and other business stakeholders to support the review and negotiation of commercial agreements and to identify and manage legal risks.
The position forms part of the combined Canon Europe HQ and Canon UK Legal team and collaborates with colleagues across the organisation to provide consistent and efficient legal support.
