Job DetailsJob Location: Dallas - Frisco, TX 75034Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 SalaryWe're looking for an experienced Structural Designer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you'll help deliver high-quality structural designs and construction documents for multifamily, residential, and commercial projects while working alongside engineers, architects, and design professionals.
As a Structural Designer, you'll play an integral role in the development and coordination of structural construction documents from concept through completion.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed structural drawings for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure structural systems are fully integrated with overall building designs.
Prepare and review construction documents, including performing quality checks on technical drawings.
Use AutoCAD and/or Revit skills to produce multi-family, single family, and commercial building structural construction documents.
Produce accurate finished documents following limited verbal and written directions from engineers.
Develop complete set of construction documents including framing plan, shear wall plan, details, etc.
Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project standards.
Manage multiple project assignments while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.
Apply sound judgement and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for design improvements and drafting efficiencies.
Work independently while contributing to a highly collaborate team environment.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Associate degree in Drafting and/or Design or equivalent.
Minimum of four years' experience with five years preferred in structural drafting for multi-family and residential projects.
Minimum five years' experience in structural wood framing and shear wall drafting.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is required.
Ability to manage project asks with limited supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial building projects.
Experience with foundation design and drafting.
Experience with elevated slab systems.
Ability to coordinate across disciplines and proactively resolve design conflicts.
Strong understanding of structural building systems and construction methods.
