Job Summary: The Inventory Control Coordinator - FG is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts throughout the Finished Goods facility. The incumbent thoroughly cycle counts finished goods product, researches inventory discrepancies, resolves issues regarding lost, misplaced or mis-labeled product, and is held accountable for the correct location and itemization of all Finished Goods Product stored at the Finished Goods facility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Accurately processes and inputs inventory transactions in the Warehouse system, coordinating the out and in flow of inventory, as well as shipment, loading and storage activities in various locations throughout the entire facility.
• Monitors inventory transactions in the Warehouse system and by physical location search to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain cycle count frequency, following procedures and schedule as assigned by Inventory Control Supervisor.
• Responsible for determining, researching and resolving inventory discrepancies, i.e. missing or incorrect Pallet Tags, Lot Numbers, Bin and Location displacement, and ledger adjustments.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy of 98% facility-wide.
• Reviews, maintains and adjusts inventory transactions as necessary from daily, monthly, and yearly cycle counts as assigned.
• Runs daily inventory reports and reconciles issues as needed.
• Assists with the Company wide inventory of Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Packaging and other product as needed.
• Operates a company forklift to load, unload, move and store product as needed.
• Continuously masters and updates proficient knowledge of the Company’s Product lines, customers, codes, and systems, to include guiding others as a product expert.
• Responsible for cycle counting, resolving and emptying the clean-up / staging / prep bin locations bi-weekly.
• Accurately processes all received goods into the Warehouse system.
• Accurately processes all Customer refusals and returns into the Warehouse system.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Other duties, as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Inventory control and warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS office applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong math and computer skills preferred.
• Works with minimal supervision, manages time effectively, and takes initiative to resolve issues independently as needed.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment where priorities change frequently.
• Excellent oral and communication skills.
• Strong Quantitative abilities.
• Strong analytical experience.
• Forklift certification, or the ability to achieve certification, required.
• S2K and AS400 knowledge strongly desired.
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Inventory Control Coordinator - FG is required to work both in a warehouse and an office. While performing the duties of this job, the associate frequently will be exposed to extreme heat and/or cold.
The associate will regularly need to lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally push or pull up to 70 pounds.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; see, talk and /or hear. The associate will be required to bend, lift, climb, balance and stoop, crouch, or crawl, specifically when physically and manually sorting through and moving product and pallets in various locations. The associate is required to stand and walk continuously for up to an 8 hour period (with breaks).
