The EMT Trainee assists staff with patient and non-patient duties under the supervision of a Preceptor. Responsibilities include maintaining reports, shadowing leaders, and participating in mandatory emergency trainings.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a valid state driver's license with one year of incident-free driving. Candidates must complete the EMT Basic Course and obtain National Registry licensure within specified timeframes after hire.

EMT Trainee– LACP Lima
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Trainee will work under direct supervision of assigned Preceptor. The EMT Trainee will assist staff with patient or non-patient duties as assigned while attending an approved EMT Basic Course.

High School Diploma or GED (required)
Licensure/Certification:
Valid state driver's license (required)
Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) (required within 3 months of hire)
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Certification (required within 3 months of hire)
EMT Basic Course Completion (required within 6 months of hire)
EMT National Registry license (obtained within 3 months of course completion)
STNA (State Tested Nursing Aide) (preferred)
1 year experience with incident-free driving (required)
1 year experience as a STNA (State Tested Nursing Aide) or Medical background (preferred)
