The Dual Diagnosis Nurse will conduct clinical assessments, secondary consultations, and care coordination for patients in the Emergency Department. They will focus on managing acute intoxication, withdrawal, and linking consumers to long-term treatment programs.
Candidates must hold current AHPRA nursing registration or equivalent allied health qualifications. Post-graduate qualifications in alcohol and other drug studies or psychiatric/mental health nursing are required or in progress.

Werribee Mercy Hospital is entering a landmark new phase, with the opening of a major Emergency Department expansion. This expansion will significantly increase our capacity and enable us to meet the rapidly growing healthcare needs of the Wyndham community, providing timely, high-quality emergency care to an additional 25,000 patients each year.
As we prepare to launch this expanded service, we are seeking a Dual Diagnosis Nurse. The role offer a rare opportunity to join the service ahead of opening and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of emergency care in Melbourne’s west. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care within a growing and evolving service.
