Job Summary

The Mountain Experience Supervisor is a pivotal leadership role responsible for delivering Bogus Basin’s on-mountain production needs across all seasons. This position oversees the setup, maintenance, and teardown of infrastructure for events, Terrain Based Learning Experience, Mountain Troll Experience, and Winter Terrain Parks. A passion for outdoor mountain recreation, a strong eye for production quality, and an ability to lead hands-on crews in challenging environments are key.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Schedule and oversee production support for all mountain programs and events.
  • Manage daily winter production for Mountain Troll Experience, Terrain-Based Learning Experience, Winter Terrain Parks, and general base area signage/activation.
  • Coordinate equipment, infrastructure, fencing, signage, and material needs across seasons.
  • Serve as production liaison with multiple departments.
  • Annually co-develop and execute Bogus Basin’s Terrain Park Plan.
  • Lead winter terrain park builds in collaboration with snowcat operators.
  • Audit daily Mountain Experience Crew Member task logs to ensure completion.
  • Support production for large group and private events as needed.
  • Ensure all production meets safety standards.
  • Maintain, inventory, and repair equipment and supplies.
  • Train and supervise Mountain Experience Crew Members

Requirements

Required Skills, Traits, and Abilities

Soft Skills

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Detail-oriented with high quality and safety standards.
  • Self-motivated problem solver.
  • Strong communication skills.

Hard Skills

  • 2+ years in mountain operations, event production, or terrain park.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong skiing or snowboarding ability.
  • Skilled with a variety of hand tools – light machinery preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Outdoor mountain environment with variable weather.
  • Ability to ski/snowboard with tools and equipment.
  • Requires frequent manual labor tasks.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings.
