We're looking for a Business Development Manager who is, first and foremost, can bring new leads to the table. Someone who takes a list of leads and turns them into real, live opportunities.

This is not a strategic role and it's not an analyst role. This is pure sales role: you get an app, you find the person behind it, you establish contact with them, you build trust and interest that carry the relationship all the way to the point of handoff to our analysts and M&A team.

You own the process end to end, from sourcing, research, outreach, follow-up, qualification and warm handoff. You do it with the discipline of someone who never lets a lead go cold and never loses track of where every conversation stands.

Your mission ⭐️

Sourcing & Research

• Work through lists of leads (apps, founders and companies) provided by the team and independently identify and enrich additional prospects.

• Find the right point of contact: founder, CEO or decision-maker through any means necessary, like LinkedIn, email, mutual connections, direct outreach, F2F conferences or events… whatever it takes.

• Do the groundwork on each target before reaching out: understand the app/business, its traction, and why it could be a good fit for acquisition or partnership.

Outreach & Relationship Building

• Own first contact and every follow-up after it, via email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or phone. Whatever gets a response.

• Build genuine rapport and trust with founders and operators, by proving a genuine interest in their business, its performances and the potential exit that awaits them.

• Clearly and credibly represent BlueThrone's acquisition and partnership model to an external audience.

• Keep chasing politely, persistently and intelligently until you get a real answer, positive or negative.

Pipeline & CRM Discipline

• Log and manage every lead, conversation and follow-up in Pipedrive, no lead lives outside the CRM.

• Maintain a clean, current and fully trackable pipeline at all times: stage, next action and timing for every deal in motion.

• Build and follow a systematic cadence for follow-ups so nothing slips.

• Be ready to report to internal stakeholders on pipeline health, conversion and volume to leadership on a regular cadence.

Handoff to Analysts & M&A

• Qualify interest and fit before handoff, you're the filter, not just the funnel.

• Own and communicate the context (who they are, what was discussed, why it's promising) into a clean handoff for the analysts and M&A team.

• Stay involved as the relationship owner through early deal stages, ensuring a smooth relay rather than a cold drop-off.

What you'll be doing

• Proven experience in a pure sales, business development or outbound-heavy role, ideally with a long, self-sourced sales cycle (not inbound/order-taking).

• Highly organized and methodical, you have a system, you follow it and nothing falls through the cracks.

• Strong hands-on CRM discipline and Pipedrive experience is a strong plus.

• Comfortable doing the full A-to-Z: sourcing, research, outreach, follow-up and qualification, not just one slice of the funnel.

• Thick-skinned, persistent and comfortable with rejection and silence and undeterred by either.

• Sharp communicator who can build credibility quickly with founders and executives.

• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy in a remote, async, global team.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years track record of hitting outbound/sourcing targets in a sales or BD role, with high-ticket deals.

• B2B experience is crucial, you must know how to navigate through multiple stakeholders in your target company and understand how to win trust in long sales cycles.

• Experience with cold outbound is a must, you know how to structure persuasive outbound that converts to calls.

• Experience and curiosity with mobile apps is a plus and relevant if you have experience working with or for SaaS companies in the mobile app ecosystem/

• Willingness to travel frequently for meeting , conferences and events

• Fluent English, excellent written and verbal communication.

• Ability to work flexible hours across time zones (mostly Asia-Europe).
