Lead the end-to-end build and growth of BJAK's Taiwan business, focusing on regulatory readiness and insurer partnerships. Drive commercial performance by establishing distribution channels and launching a competitive insurance platform.
Requires over 7 years of experience in insurance, fintech, or high-growth tech companies with a strong focus on execution and analytical skills. Experience with the Taiwan insurance market and regulatory environment is highly preferred.

The General Manager – Taiwan will lead the build and growth of BJAK’s Taiwan business.
This role owns the market end-to-end — from regulatory readiness and insurer partnerships to product launch and revenue growth. You will be responsible for building a competitive insurance platform in Taiwan by securing strong insurer participation, establishing distribution, and driving commercial performance.
We are looking for a hands-on operator who can move quickly from strategy to execution and build a scalable business in a highly competitive market.
Market Entry & Business Planning
• Lead the execution of the Taiwan market strategy plan, including implementing the business plan covering regulatory setup, partnerships, distribution, and growth strategy.
Regulatory & Licensing
• Oversee the process of obtaining the necessary regulatory licences and approvals required to operate in the Taiwan insurance market.
• Work with internal and external legal and compliance teams to ensure ongoing adherence to local regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Insurer Partnerships & Distribution
• Build and manage relationships with insurers, underwriting partners, and ecosystem players in the Taiwan market.
• Negotiate commercial partnerships, product distribution agreements, and integration arrangements.
• Develop a strong product lineup from insurer partners to ensure competitive offerings in the market.
Business Development
• Lead the launch of the platform, working closely with product and engineering teams to develop features, integrations, and customer journeys.
• Drive product iteration and execution to strengthen product–market fit.
Operations
• Establish effective operating processes, cadence, and reporting structures to support strong growth and operational performance.
Leadership & Execution
• Represent the group with insurers, regulators, partners, media, and key stakeholders.
• Build and lead a high-performing team with a strong ownership culture and execution mindset.
