The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of the Collins Sustainment Program by managing day-to-day project activities including scope, schedule, finance, and risk. They will also engage with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring project outcomes align with the Global Project Management Framework.
Candidates must hold a relevant project management qualification and be working towards AIPM certification. Experience across the full project lifecycle and strong organizational and communication skills are required.
As an Assistant Project Manager at Babcock, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Collins Sustainment Program.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for day-to-day project management activities, ensuring safety, scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources are effectively managed.
This role offers the opportunity to develop and apply your project management skills in an environment of limited complexity, where you will gain exposure to end-to-end project delivery.
From planning and reporting to stakeholder management and client-facing responsibilities, you will be actively involved in ensuring project outcomes are achieved while building your capability in line with Babcock’s Global Project Management Framework.
You will bring a sound understanding of project management principles and the ability to apply these in practical situations.
Your strong organisational skills and ability to follow through on tasks will ensure projects remain on track and aligned with stakeholder requirements.
As a strong communicator, you will thrive in a team environment and be comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
You are motivated to learn, open to supervision, and keen to grow your experience in project management within a highly professional and supportive environment.
