A&P Mechanic – MD530F - OCONUS

Location: Hamat Air Base, Lebanon

Status: Full-Time

Rotation: This position follows a 90/30 rotation schedule, consisting of 90 days on assignment in Lebanon followed by 30 days of rest and recuperation (R&R).

Brief Job Description:

The A&P Mechanic performs inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance on MD530F airframes and Rolls-Royce M250-C30 powerplants, restoring aircraft to flying status IAW OEM technical publications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections and repairs.
• Maintain airworthiness standards in compliance with OEM technical data.
• Support operational readiness of assigned MD530F aircraft.
• Inspects and repairs aircraft, components, and systems per FAA regulations and OEM manuals.
• Provides guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures, according to directives, technical manuals, work standards, and operational policies.
• Repair and replace defects in airframe, main rotor, transmission, or other parts of the aircraft
• Maintain log books in accordance with FAA regulations and parts inventoryPrepares evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities.
• Assist in coordinating, ordering, shipping, receiving of parts, supplies, tools, and warranty claims parts.
• Clean and maintain interior and exterior of aircraft.
• Assist in coordination of aircraft maintenance schedules.
• Maintain upkeep of work area, materials, and tools.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and policy.
• Ensure all maintenance is accomplished and documented correctly IAW FAA regulations.
• Regularly utilizes hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
• Performs other tasks as needed.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in rotary wing maintenance, civil and or military.
• Must have Aviation mechanic certificate with Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) ratings.
• Must have experience returning aircraft to service IAW part 43 using OEM logbooks or aftermarket maintenance software.
• Ability to work in austere OCONUS environments.
• Experience performing inspections, repairs, and replacements on MD530F aircraft and M250-C30 engines.
• Inspection Authorization is a plus.Candidate must have an active NACI with the ability to obtain a CAC
• Should have High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical or Military School is desired.
• Must be capable of passing a drug screen and is subject to random drug tests under Axxeum's Air Carrier and Air Agency Certificate.
• Must have working knowledge of aviation publications including electronic manuals, drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• May be asked to perform Hazardous Flight duties as crewmember/non-crewmember
• Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior always when dealing with co- workers, customers, and all levels of management.
• Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are required.
• Must have a valid passport

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/move items frequently over 20 pounds. Occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull/move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The environmental characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar, warehouse setting, office setting and/or outdoors. Candidates should be able to adapt to environments listed. There may be momentary exposure to high noises, exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents, and Personal Protection Equipment may be required for certain tasks. This position requires being able to work comfortably outdoors and may be exposed to hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
