Job purpose: 

To ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of food packaging products to customers while maintaining product quality and compliance with food safety standards. The Driver is responsible for operating company vehicles safely, following designated routes, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and UAE traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliveries

• Safely and efficiently deliver food packaging products according to designated routes and schedules, ensuring all handling and temperature requirements are met, particularly for temperature-sensitive items.
• Obtain customer signatures or delivery confirmations when required.
• Follow proper loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage to products and maintain food safety standards.
• Report any delivery issues or exceptions, such as damaged items, incorrect deliveries, delays, or temperature-related concerns.

Route Management and Vehicle Maintenance

• Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries and maximize operational efficiency, taking traffic conditions and product requirements into consideration.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure it is safe, roadworthy, and operating correctly, including climate control or refrigeration systems where applicable.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly, especially those affecting temperature-controlled deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic vehicle in accordance with company and food safety standards.

Logistics and Administration

• Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and related documentation.
• Assist with loading and unloading products as required.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures relating to deliveries, health and safety, food handling regulations, and customer service standards.

Additional Responsibilities

• Collect payments for Cash-on-Delivery (COD) orders when required.
• Assist customers with carrying packages into their homes or business premises, where appropriate and within company guidelines.
• Promote customer satisfaction through professional, courteous, and efficient service.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure the proper loading and handling of temperature-sensitive items, where applicable.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Work Experience

• 2–3 years of experience driving light or heavy vehicles for commercial delivery operations.
• Experience handling packaged goods or temperature-sensitive products is preferred.
• Familiarity with route planning, delivery procedures, and documentation requirements.

Competencies

• Valid UAE Driving License (Light Vehicle and/or Heavy Vehicle – Category 3 or 4).
• Good knowledge of UAE roads, traffic regulations, and delivery best practices.
• Basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Responsible, punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious in all driving operations.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.

Languages

• English (Arabic language skills would be an advantage).
