The role involves owning the full sales cycle to sell AI agents into large insurance organizations and TPAs. The candidate will build a repeatable revenue engine, run structured pilots, and provide market feedback to the product team.
Requires 4+ years of closing experience with a proven track record of selling SaaS with ACV between $50K and $500K. Must be based in NYC and comfortable operating in a high-growth, unstructured early-stage environment.

Claims is the clearest case: high-volume, repetitive workflows handled over the phone, by email, and across 200-page PDFs, most of it sitting in systems built in the early 2000s. Software has circled this problem for decades without touching the core of it, because nothing could make the calls or read the documents. AI finally can. Avallon builds agents that run the full claims lifecycle, from intake to settlement, so teams can move faster, eliminate busywork, and get more right.
Out of YC we went from zero to seven figures of ARR in twelve months, and are now growing 3X quarter over quarter while working with some of the largest carriers in the world. Avallon is backed by top investors, and our founding team includes builders from MIT, Harvard, and CornelI. We aim to become the automation layer for the entire insurance industry, and we intend to get there with a talent-dense team where everyone is enabled to do best work of their careers.
We're hiring our first two Account Executives to turn strong early demand into a repeatable, scalable revenue engine.
This isn't a "run the playbook" role; we're still writing the playbook. The good news: we're not starting from zero. We already have closed deals, active pilots, inbound interest, and an early sales motion that works. What's missing is structure, consistency, and scale, and that's what you'll build directly alongside the founders.
Sell into large insurance organizations: TPAs and carriers running high-volume, high-stakes claims operations
Own the full sales cycle, from discovery through pilot design to close
Run structured pilots that prove clear, hard-dollar ROI within weeks
Multi-thread complex accounts deeply across claims, ops, procurement, and IT
Help define where we focus next, shaping the ICP and wedge that gets us to $100M+ ARR
Turn early wins into a repeatable motion future reps can scale
Feed the roadmap: bring market signal directly into product and engineering
High ownership, high agency. You don't wait for perfect inputs; you create momentum with what you have
Proven closer with experience selling $50K–$500K ACV SaaS
4+ years in closing roles, ideally with time in early-stage or high-growth environments
Comfortable operating without structure and building clarity as you go
Based in NYC (SoHo) and willing to work in-office 5 days/week
Early-stage startup experience as an early sales hire
Exposure to insurance, claims, TPAs, or carrier environments
Experience selling into operational, financial, or compliance-heavy buyers
Background running pilots, POVs, or proof-of-value sales motions
Strong writing or public presence in your space
OTE: $150K–$300K (50/50 base and variable) plus equity
Non-recoverable draw for your first 60–90 days: full OTE-equivalent pay with no quota, so ramping never means a pay cut
Year-one variable is tied to leading indicators (qualified meetings, pilots launched, multi-threading depth). A full quota structure kicks in after month 12
