The role focuses on owning outbound pipeline generation by cold calling prospects and engaging target accounts. The BDR will handle inbound leads and convert conversations into booked meetings for the account executive team.
Candidates need at least one year of experience as an SDR/BDR or exceptional evidence of sales ability. They must be confident on the phone, resilient to rejection, and comfortable working as the sole human BDR on the team.

Our first, Ava, is an AI BDR used by hundreds of companies. She researches leads, writes and sends emails in a customer's voice, runs multi-step outbound sequences, self-optimizes over time, and handles objections and meeting booking. She's not a tool someone uses. She's a teammate.
We're a YC W24 company, have raised $35M+ from investors including Y Combinator, and are at $10M+ ARR. We recently launched Ava 2.0, a step change in what an AI employee can do. And we're hiring.
You'll be the first Business Development Representative on the Artisan team! This is a foundational GTM hire. You'll own outbound pipeline generation, working alongside Ava, our AI BDR. She handles the lists, the outreach, the records, and the scheduling. You handle everything she can't.

Call every inbound lead within minutes of them raising their hand

Carry a quota of meetings held, not activity metrics

Location: Remote (US or UK, US business hours)

Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 on-target earnings (base + commission) for US-based candidates. UK compensation localized.
