American Public Works Association (APWA) serves professionals in all aspects of public works by providing innovative education and credentialing opportunities for professional development. We are seeking an Education and Credentialing Chapter Specialist to serve as a key liaison between APWA and its chapters, helping to expand educational opportunities, credentialing programs, and workforce development initiatives throughout the association. 

About the Education and Credentialing Chapter Specialist Role:

The Education and Credentialing Chapter Specialist serves as the primary liaison between APWA and its chapters to advance education, credentialing, and workforce development initiatives. This role fosters a two-way collaborative partnership with chapters to understand their needs, elevate local initiatives, and align APWA resources and programs to deliver high-value education and credentialing opportunities. The position works in close collaboration with the Chapter Services team to ensure a coordinated, consistent, and member-focused approach. 

The ideal candidate will have exemplary customer service and relationship building skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, be well versed in and able to efficiently use various technology and be comfortable in a fast-paced setting working with a wide variety of internal and external customers.? 

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Associate’s degree; 
  • 3 years of experience in program support and project management; 
  • Customer/member service focused; 
  • Excellent technology and communication skills; 
  • Association experience is welcome but not required.
