Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain packaging designs for PDC product assemblies and parts
Collaborate with product teams to define packaging design requirements
Identify and pursue cost‑saving initiatives (design, materials, processes, sourcing) under engineering control
Engage with suppliers including designing packaging, setting up packaging and labeling processes, obtaining quotes and creating scorecards
Create and/or review packaging designs in CAD environment
Perform root-cause analysis on simple packaging failures and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate with the packaging test lab to get the packaging designs/ configurations tested
Lead packaging SharePoint projects to meet schedules and deliverables
Communicate the packaging project status, needs and issues to the cross-functional stakeholders
Release specifications via Engineering Change Order (ECO) process
Perform other duties/projects as assigned, based on departmental and BU specific goals
