Full job description
The Pacific Logistics team is the heartbeat of Operations at Apple. Come experience the best of both worlds — work with the best Logistics partners in the industry, both internally and externally! We are growing our planning and analytics capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to apply their analytical, systems, and stitching skills to enable logistics capacity and setups to meet the business's demands. We are looking for results-oriented individuals who will impact Logistics Systems and Planning, working with the Inbound/Outbound Transportation and Distribution Centre (DC) Operations teams in Logistics. This is a central planning role collaborating with Supply/Demand Management, Operations Finance, Retail Fulfilment Operations, and Reseller Operations teams to plan Logistics capacity and drive efficiencies in our processes. You will also be a subject matter expert (SME) of Logistics systems, including but not limited to real-time track and trace, transportation management, and service levels management systems.
Description
In this role, your responsibilities include:
Support Logistics capacity planning-related queries across Inbound, Outbound, Distribution Centers, all routes to market (Direct and Indirect business).
Report on key operational KPIs to monitor forecast performance against actuals.
Analyse forecast requirements against Logistics capacity to identify any risk to supporting Apple's key events and volumes; where required, collaborate with the Freight and Distribution Center Managers to enable more capacity.
Demonstrate robust system knowledge. Maintain system setups, dashboards, and tools during business-as-usual (BAU) and peak periods, including system issue resolution and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
Support projects as a subject matter expert by translating business requirements into system setup, as well as proposing system/process enhancements to improve supply chain efficiency or customer experience. Additionally, participate in capital projects as a super user from the business requirements stage until implementation. This includes playing a key role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and advising on these projects.
Participate in Logistics Cost and Shipping strategy reviews with Operations Finance, Retail/Reseller Operations, and Supply/Demand Management.
Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and management systems, constantly looking for ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of handling the business.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain/logistics.
Strong data analysis and numeric skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to evaluate, analyse, and present data to the senior management team (as needed).
Basic knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems, and experience in data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, SQL, etc.). Ability to understand coding language(s) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Organised and able to react to the challenges of a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to deal with significant complexity driven by product transitions, macro factors (such as variations/exceptions in the supply chain), changing business landscape, and supply or demand constraints.
Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to establish positive relationships in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience in project management with agile methodology preferred.
Customer/Partner-centric; focus on meeting the business demand, thinking of the big picture.
Data analytic skillset with strong work ethics and attention to detail.
Demonstrates initiative, perseverance, creativity, and flexibility.
