Job DetailsJob Location: Stockton, CA 95203Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $23.00 - $26.50 HourlyJob Shift: NightPOSITION SUMMARY: Maintains an acceptable aesthetic environment for Perioperative Services. Performs a variety of stocking and cleaning essential to the efficient turnover of the operating room and other perioperative departments. Assists the perioperative care team in many aspects of patient care within the surgical unit. Assists Central Supply with stocking disposable items used for surgery and communicates openly with materials regarding inventory levels. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations. Must participate in the respiratory protection program, which may include wearing of a respirator.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs activities related to transportation of patients as directed such as assisting clinical personnel in transferringpatients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs or stretchers.
Delivers specimens, cultures, non-narcotic medications, orders and requisitions to appropriate destinations.
Assists OR team with the cleaning of operating rooms. Demonstrates basic knowledge of cleaning for turnover and termination of OR rooms. (Prepares rooms for emergency, MRSA and next day surgery).
Cleans and assembles instruments as needed under the direction of surgical technicians.
Adjusts hours to meet patient care needs and covers call and weekend shift responsibility when available.
Assists patients with ambulating and toileting.
Assists materials with maintaining adequate supply levels in Perioperative departments.
Works with the surgery team to facilitate efficient turnover times.

QualificationsEducation
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred.
Experience
Previous OR experience required, previous hospital or nursing home experience or Environmental services experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates
Current BLS Certification through AHA required (upon hire/transfer)
