POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Location: Winston Salem, NC
PRN - As needed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Completion of Special Procedures Training Program or one year experience as a technologist in Special Procedures.
Completion of one week sterile technique training program to be provided by the OR education coordinator, if no prior Special Procedures experience or/with surgical technique
Registered Cardiovascular-Interventional Technologist ( ARRT- CV or VI) preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies. Recognizes and reacts appropriately to potential emergency situations.
Provides technologist coverage for 24-hour emergency endovascular surgical services.
Performs or assists in performing procedures and/or diagnostic tests and/or therapeutic exams, as well as maintains files and compiles records according to procedure as required for accurate and current departmental records and/or reports.
Provides instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to promote and improve quality patient care and maintains appropriate education/credentials to accomplish work objectives.
Performs routine analysis on imaging equipment to assure proper working conditions and a minimum of downtime.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Good oral, written, and listening communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize clinical responsibilities
Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
Training skills
Knowledge of vascular anatomy
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
