Provide peer-to-peer guidance and support to international students to help them navigate academic and social life at Queen's University. Foster community through collaborative programming and regular check-ins with mentees.
Applicants must be undergraduate students with strong analytical thinking, planning, and execution skills. Ability to work independently and creatively within a structured team is required.
Job Summary:
The Campus Affairs Commission (CAC) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated undergraduate students to serve as International Student Mentors. This position supports the International Mentorship Program by providing guidance and peer-to-peer support to international students navigating academic and social life at Queen’s. Mentors will help foster a sense of community, offer cultural and academic guidance, and enhance international student experiences through mentorship and collaborative programming.
Priority will go towards international students.

Job Duties:
3–5 hours/week (September – April)
Serve as a peer mentor and supportive guide for international students throughout their first year.
Offer guidance on adjusting to Canadian culture, campus life, and the Kingston community.
Join mentees at social and cultural events hosted by the CAC to build community.
Provide basic academic support, including advice on study skills, time management, and goal setting.
Attend training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about the program and improve mentoring skills.
Maintain regular communication with mentees via biweekly check-ins (in-person or online), emails, and social media.
Collaborate with the International Affairs Director and the CAC to enhance the program.
Support CAC programming that benefits international students.
Complete other duties as assigned by the CAC or International Affairs Director.
