Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Digital Records in Cheyney, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an educational location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to campus incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity logs, and communicate professionally with campus representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
