The Health Care Aide provides essential daily care to residents, including bathing, feeding, and assisting with mobility using mechanical aids. They work under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse to ensure resident comfort and safety according to established care plans.
Candidates must hold a recognized Personal Care Aide or Health Care Aide certificate and maintain active registration with the CLHA. One year of experience in a continuing care environment is preferred, along with strong English communication skills.

The Health Care Aide, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, applies their knowledge and skills in order to provide a wide variety of safe and thorough basic care and services to residents.
