The Design Lead will plan and design temporary work structures and supervise their execution during the Hamilton LRT project. They will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure technical accuracy, quality compliance, and effective project reporting.
Candidates must hold a post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering and possess a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the design and detailing of temporary structures is required.

What is the Opportunity?

Reporting to the responsible Design or Construction Manager, this role will support work within the Hamilton LRT project and will be responsible for planning and design of the temporary work structures during the current development phase, and also execution supervision during the early works or implementation phases in future.
The Hamilton LRT Alliance has been selected by Metrolinx as the development partner for the Hamilton LRT – Package 1: Civil & Utilities. Under the alliance model, Aecon provides construction capability and resources as part of an integrated team, working collaboratively with all alliance participants to progress design, cost, and construction schedules during the project’s development phase.

The expected pay range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 per year
Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
