The Admissions Counselor manages the intake process by verifying insurance benefits and coordinating admissions between referral sources and facility levels of care. They are also responsible for conducting pre-admission assessments and ensuring patient safety through regular supervision and safety checks.
A Bachelor's degree in a social services field is required, with a Master's degree or RN license preferred. Candidates should ideally have one or more years of experience in behavioral health and must obtain CPR and de-escalation certifications.
