About Alžbeta

As an enthusiastic chemistry student it is part of my daily life to stand in the laboratory for hours and solve various assignments by analytical thinking. In this process, precision and diligence are crutial. During my school years, I acquired both of these qualities and deepened them by participating in numerous laboratory courses within my studies and several extra-curricular internships outside of university.
As part of my Bachelor's thesis, I analyzed microplastics from reverse osmosis membranes via Raman microspectroscopy and worked on the preconcentration of nanoplastics with subsequent separation by asymmetric flow-field flow fractionation.

After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, I am continuing my studies at TUM with a Master's degree focusing on Physical and Analytical Chemistry. Currently, I am working on my Master's thesis where I am developing a method for reliable micro- and nanoplastic analysis with focus on the assessment of recovery rates.

Personally, it is very important for me to envision my goals and to give my all to reach them. As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe said: Knowledge is not enough, it's application is necessary. Willing is not enough, you also have to do it.
