The technician performs quality control inspections on precast concrete products, including dimensional checks and material testing. They are also responsible for maintaining production records and ensuring safety standards are met within the plant and yard.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read blueprints. The role requires strong attention to detail and the physical ability to stand for long periods.

The inspection process includes, but is not limited to evaluating pieces for dimensional accuracy, required tolerances and aesthetic appearance as well in interpreting piece tickets and production drawings. The quality control technician is also responsible for daily materials and product testing as required.
