Trainees are responsible for learning to operate equipment in the MDF finishing area, including the Energy Plant, Refiner, and Press. They also perform routine equipment checks and maintain a clean, organized production environment.
Candidates must be able to operate heavy machinery, use various tools, and lift up to 50 lbs in extreme temperatures. The ability to read technical instructions and work effectively without constant supervision is required.

To become fully qualified to perform one or more operators' jobs in the MDF finishing area to include Energy Plant, Refiner, and Press Operator. They are also responsible for assisting equipment operators on day to day tasks. The Finishing Operator Trainee is responsible for performing assignments in accordance with PDM. They are responsible for performing routine and complicated equipment checks. The Finishing Operator Trainee is responsible for maintaining the production area in a clean and organized fashion.
• The ability to read and comprehend work instructions of a technical nature.
• The ability to operate or learn to operate heavy machinery.
• The ability to work with electric, pneumatic, or hand tools.
• The ability to be trained and become certified to operate a forklift.
• The ability to comprehend and manipulate metric measurements.
• The ability to work effectively with other members of the facility team.
• The ability to work without constant supervision.
• The ability to creatively problem-solve, individually or as part of a group.
• The ability to work in extreme heat and cold
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders at a safe but rapid pace
