The Role

The Wealth & Premier Solutions Technical Product Expert shapes, prioritises and delivers digital products and features that create clear business value and measurable ROI for HSBC’s Wealth & Premier franchise. Sitting at the junction of business, product and technology this role turns customer and business needs into feasible propositions backed by robust business cases. It supports sponsorship and funding decisions by setting out quantified benefits, costs and trade-offs in plain business terms. Working with product owners, architects and engineering teams it ensures delivery choices stay aligned to outcomes such as revenue growth, cost efficiency, risk reduction and client experience. As Wealth & Premier Solutions adopts cloud, Agile and DevOps this role helps ensure digital initiatives are commercially justified and successfully adopted across markets.

What you'll be doing

• Develop value propositions and business cases across the Wealth & Premier Solutions portfolio covering revenue, cost, risk and customer experience impacts
• Quantify and track product KPIs and ROI such as AUM growth, conversion rates, digital adoption, cost-to-serve, STP rate, call deflection and operational risk events
• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to validate assumptions, financial models and payback periods for key initiatives
• Recommend product optimisation, de-prioritisation or retirement decisions based on performance metrics and realised value
• Act as the primary business-technology interface for assigned products and journeys such as digital onboarding, investment journeys, advisory tools and servicing
• Facilitate workshops with Wealth, Premier, Distribution, Operations, Risk, Compliance and Finance to prioritise features based on impact and feasibility
• Co-own product vision and roadmap with Business and Product Owners aligning to WPS strategy and Future State Architecture
• Collaborate with architects and delivery teams to define technical requirements and make design choices that balance cost, complexity, time-to-market and business value
• Champion automation, observability and data-driven experimentation such as A/B testing and feature flags to accelerate learning and improve ROI

What we're looking for

• Bring proven experience in product management, technical product ownership or solution-business architecture within wealth management, retail banking or investments
• Demonstrate expertise building and presenting business cases for complex digital solutions including financial modelling and benefits realisation
• Show a track record influencing senior stakeholders and securing sponsorship for technology-enabled change
• Apply hands-on experience working in Agile and DevOps environments with close collaboration across business, technology and operations teams
• Use strong understanding of wealth and premier banking business models including AUM growth drivers, product revenue, cost-to-serve and distribution channels
• Translate technical features into quantified business outcomes and communicate trade-offs clearly in commercial terms
• Bring familiarity with cloud technologies and modern architectures including APIs, microservices and containers
• Apply solid understanding of data modelling, data flows and analytics use cases in financial services
• Communicate complex topics through clear narratives for non-technical audiences and facilitate alignment across multiple countries, cultures and functions
